With a rich history that dates all the way back to 1833. Jaeger-LeCoultre is often referred to by collectors as “the watchmaker’s watchmaker” and it is easily one of the industry’s most celebrated luxury timepiece brands. Although the manufacturer’s archives are packed full of interesting and noteworthy designs, the single model that is most emblematic of the JLC brand is easily the Reverso.
Created in 1931, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is defined by its unique reversible case that allows the wearer to flip the face of the watch around to protect it. It was originally designed for polo players whose wristwatches frequently suffered broken crystals due to the physical nature of their sport, and it offers a sophisticated and refined Art Deco aesthetic. Despite being originally intended for rugged use, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is now known as one of the industry’s most iconic dress watches, and the Grande Taille model is the larger full-size edition of this celebrated classic.

CASE & BRACELET
The stainless steel case of the JLC Reverso Grande Taille offers the same shape and aesthetic as the original, complete with the model’s signature ability to be flipped around and reversed; however, it offers a slightly larger size for a more contemporary appearance. This particular example is in excellent condition, with only very minor marks in its finish and no significant dents or scratches. Fitted to the watch is an original black Jaeger-LeCoultre crocodile leather strap with a signed JLC deployant buckle.
DIAL & HANDS
The dial is classic, timeless, and in perfect condition. It features a silver satin vertical-grain outer area, which houses printed black Arabic numerals, and it has an inner flat silver dial bordered by a black rectangular minute track. At six o'clock the dial showcases a beautiful seconds sub-register in a rectangular shape that complements its case, and all three hands are in perfect condition with a rich blue metallic finish.
